*       CONGRATULATIONS to the CVMS students who participated in the 2nd & final rounds of the Deuel Co. Spelling Bee held in South Platte yesterday. Ben Cabela placed 2nd & William Snow placed 3rd. Way to go!!

*       Students:  Remember that gum, candy, seeds, and drinks are not allowed during regular school hours (lunchroom only).  If you are caught with gum once, you should spit it out immediately.   If you are caught twice, teachers and staff will assume you are choosing to break the rules, which is called “defiance.”  That would result in a pink slip and minor consequence.  Leaving these items at home would be the best bet in order to avoid problems!

*       Youth BB practice Thurs. night in Chappell from 6:30-8:00pm.

*       Fri. 02/19-Pep band members need to be @ the HS ready to play @6pm.

*       Anyone looking for 4-H or FFA calves can contact Mrs. Whiting, she has a phone number for some.

*       CVMS BB players-Uniforms & practice jerseys must be turned in by Friday. (washed & neatly folded)

*       Class/group pictures are scheduled for the 23rd of Feb. Please see Mrs. Fraass if you would like an envelope to order a class or group picture.

*       Sat. 02/20-Youth BB games begin with the CV 3/4 boys vs. South Platte @ Julesburg @ 8am, CV 5/6 boys vs. Garden Co. @ Ovid @ 9am & CV girls vs. Garden Co. @ Ovid @ 10am

*       To one and all:  The Storm Chasers Booster Club will be putting in one last order for the year.  We are taking orders for the following items.*Hoodies-Grey one is $40.00 and comes in youth and adult sizes & Green/black one is $45.00 and comes in only adult sizes. *Stadium jacket is a green pullover and is $40.00. *Sideline jacket is black with hood and is $45.00. *Slugger shirt is green and is $40.00. We are accepting orders till FRIDAY FEBRUARY 19TH BY 3:00 PM.  You must have your order and payment to Darla Maynard at that time or you will have to wait till next year to order. Thank you to all who have ordered and to everyone who supports the Booster Club so that we may support our students and school.

Friday, February 19, 2010:

Senior Citizen lunches will be served at Creek Valley Middle School beginning at 11:00am.  The cost of lunch is $3.65 per person.  This includes your meal & your drink.  Please call the Middle School (483-5252) before 9:30am so we can be sure we have an accurate lunch count for the cook.

Menu: Pot roast, mashed potatoes w/gravy, cooked carrots, ice cream bar, fruit & milk
