Course Description:	Speech focuses on organizing, writing and presenting speeches. Students spend most of the first nine weeks learning speech basics from a textbook; reading is supplemented with quizzes, worksheets, activities, and speeches.  The second nine weeks of this class focuses on writing and presenting speeches; some of those are how-to speeches, informative speeches, prose interpretation speeches, persuasive speeches, etc. Multicultural education is addressed through the speeches, and Nebraska Standards for Speaking are taught, reviewed and assessed in this class.
